The Bressenden difference

With a maximum of just 40 guests on board, the atmosphere is uniquely intimate, offering a level of personal service and privacy that mirrors a stay in a grand Scottish manor.

THE OBSERVATION CAR – The Social Heart of the Highlands

The social centre of the journey is the iconic Observation Car, which features the only open-air veranda on the British rails. This unique vantage point allows guests to step outside and breathe in the Highland air while crossing historic viaducts or winding past sea lochs, providing an unobstructed connection to the passing landscape.

HIGHLAND GASTRONOMY – The Finest Scottish Larder

Dining on board is a celebration of local provenance. Every meal is a gastronomic event, featuring ingredients sourced directly from the regions the train traverses. From wild Highland salmon to Aberdeen Angus beef, the menu is complemented by an extensive collection of over 50 malt whiskies served in the traditional atmosphere of the wood-panelled dining cars.
